Our Professional Development model is built on wide experience and current education research. We provide customised shoulder to shoulder PD that meets teachers at their point of need to help them develop a strong, contemporary approach to classroom technology. Through ongoing support, Winthrop Professional Development cultivates sustainable pedagogical change to help your teachers create learning programs that take full advantage of what technology can offer.
We encourage teachers to use the SAMR model to reflect on their integration of technology within the classroom. Teachers use this model as a self-evaluation tool prior to participating with our Professional Development Team, and again after working shoulder to shoulder with a Professional Development Coordinator. The intention is for teachers to progress through the SAMR stages with the support and guidance of a Professional Development Coordinator.
All our Professional Development Coordinators were classroom teachers themselves and therefore understand the dynamics of the classroom.
