Transformative Learning with iPad 2024 (Full day event from 9.00am to 3.00pm)
Transformative learning with iPad is a multi-day professional learning experience delivered face to face across four sessions. The content focuses on the features of Apple devices, apps, and resources for learning and teaching. The goal of the program is to help individuals to develop innovative ways to use iPad in upper primary with a focus on numeracy, literacy, collaboration and creativity and to share practices back across the broader school community.
Participants come together for their Introductory Session. Our focus is quick wins in the Classroom. How we can get up and running with ideas quickly and easily. Teachers will undertake some sample projects and have time in the afternoon to create and work on their own unique project.
For Day 2 participants will build on skills from Day 1 with the focus on Literacy with iPad. Participants will work through how teachers can facilitate facilitate creative ways for students to utilise inbuilt tools and apps to develop literacy skills in new ways, utlising utilising a range of technologies and techniques.
During Day 3 participants will build on skills from Day 1 and 2 with a focus on Numeracy on iPad. Participants will work through a series of Digital Numeracy activities and then work in teams to create a collaborative Numeracy Project and will share back to the group.
Future Tech and Skills. An engaging and intriguing day looking at ways to embed, integrate and innovate with new and emerging Digital Tools and Apps with an EDU Lens. The Day will round out with a Celebration Share Session where teachers will have the opportunities to share success in the classroom and or their project they have worked on with their students over the year.
This event is tailored for Primary Schools keen on incorporating iPads into the classroom, whether initiating the integration or seeking to elevate an existing program. To ensure a comprehensive understanding, it is recommended for one designated teacher or leader to attend all four sessions, as they progressively build upon one another.
This event is in-person. Kindly bring your personal iPad, and we will provide you with information on specific applications to download throughout the course. This ensures you can actively participate and gain hands-on experience during the sessions.
